The plight of the farmyard hen …

I have had enough …. I am now taking up the role of the speaker in the farmyard in our back / front yard for the plight of the hens!
Just take the good with the bad – they say, there are ups and downs in every relationship – they say, don’t get riled up for something you can do nothing about – they say…. well who the hell are “they” anyway…
Along with parading around looking handsome and radiant, and protecting their hens from predators by corralling them safely under a hedge, rooster are also disruptive to the general harmony of the farmyard in my back / front yard…
Picture a serene hen having a dust bath on a glorious winters day on the farm, and every now and again she gets up and has a little scratch and a snack and gets comfortable again in her little nest of dust. Carpe diem … enjoying one of life’s simple pleasures … doing some self grooming. The birds are chirping, the sheep are baaing, the sun is shinning …. and from the back row of the stands, way out of the field of play, like Butch James in his hay-day, comes this missile … barreling down on his target …he upsets the poor hens dust bath …. takes his pleasure and runs away again …. the violation …. like being hit on the head by a rugby ball while looking the other way …
Oh to be a Rooster …
