Saunders, Seagulls and Seaglass…

If vibrant energy had a colour, it would be all shades of crystal clear blue

the sky and the sea vibrating with it, the crisp white noisy seagulls and the speckled sand drenched in it …

shards of sea glass and broken shells – the remnants of the storms of early in the week – bring you into the present while massaging your toes in it …

The seagulls on the prom were in full festival mode. Vocal and busy, and adding to the excitement in the air – what a perfect day for outdoor activity in Cape Town. The violent and relentless storms from earlier in the week, forgotten like the pain of child birth. The prom was full of activity and with the Two Oceans Marathon (the ultra and the 21 km) on the weekend there were runners, runners and more runners. I took the opportunity to do a little quite time down on the pebbly beach and finished off with an ice plunge with the family in Saunders Rocks … Looking for seaglass and surrounded by seagulls, I rubbed my toes into the course pebbly sand like a free pedicure while taking in lungful’s of the salty fresh air. What a beautiful way to while away the time until the runners get back and its go go go ….
