I am mostly known for my distinctively onomatopoetical call “oop-oop-oop” call and my “fly-catching punk rocker” look, making me very easy to identify. I am fiercely independent and like my solitude and peace a quiet. I am generally friendly but can be very territorial, especially when it comes to protecting my nesting site. The “stink bird” reference comes from the foul-smelling secretion I release when I am nervous and this is not improved by my general lack of personal hygiene, I am afraid. I act like a teenage boy at an all-boys school. I much prefer dust baths to water baths.
